Molly Poore
Owner/Artistic Director
Molly Poore began dancing in the early 80’s, under the direction of Taunia Wheeler, in ballet, tap and clogging. At the age of 8 she joined Uintah Basin Ballet Company. She spent 10 years with Uintah Basin Ballet, and loved the classical ballet training. During that time, she performed solo roles in many ballets, including Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and A Salute to Broadway. At the age of 10, she was chosen to perform with Ballet West in Romeo and Juliet. As a member of Uintah Basin Ballet, she began classes in jazz and lyrical techniques. Molly was a 14-year member of the Outlaw Trail Cloggers. She competed at a national level and won many individual, duet, and team awards. She was selected as an All-America National Team member for 6 years, and in 1998 she won the title of A cappella MVP. In 1994 she began teaching and choreographing. Her choreography received many national overall awards, including 5 years of Triple Crown winning teams.
Molly spent over two decades in Salt Lake City as a company director. She taught ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tiny tumblers, and clogging. Her choreography has been recognized with many overall, high point and specialty awards. Molly loves continuing her dance education and learning from incredible people across the country. Molly’s passion is working with kids, and she loves spending time with her dancers. They bring so much joy and happiness to her life. Molly has learned so much from dancing and hopes to pass on those values to her students. She cannot wait to continue sharing her love of dance as the owner and director of Anchor Dance Studio. Molly is a wife and mother to 3 awesome kids and spending time with them is her favorite pastime!

Emery Kingdon
Emery grew up in Park City, Utah and started dancing at the age of 2. She is trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, ballroom, acro, and pom. She was a competitive dancer in Salt Lake City for 8 years, as well as a high school cheerleader, before graduating in 2020.
Emery graduated for the University of Utah in May 2024, having been a member of the university’s dance team throughout her time at the U. She loves teaching and choreographing and is so excited to continue at Anchor!

Erin Ward
Erin Ward is from Salt Lake City, Utah. Erin started dancing at the age of 3. She spent 13 years dancing at Silhouette Danc Studio, 8 of those years were spent dancing competitively. Erin began teaching in 2021 and taught various classes as well as competition pieces. Erin immediately fell in love with teaching. She’s loved connecting with her students and watching them grow.
Erin attended Olympus High School where she participated in dance company and cheer all 3 years. After graduating in 2022, Erin spent two summers on a local performing company, Altitude Dance Company, under the direction of Lauren Broadbent. Erin has been attending BYU since high school. She has been a member of BYU’s DancEnsemble for 2 semesters and has loved being involved in BYU’s dance program. She is working towards a degree in dance, as well as an additional degree.

Greta Hoj
Hi! My name is Greta Hoj. I can’t wait to teach all you cute dancers. I grew up in Holladay, Utah and started dancing at the age of 4. I danced for 15 years, 8 competitively. As a company member, I won many overall and high point awards. I’ve been trained in many styles of dance, but my favorites are ballet and contemporary.
I love working with kids. I am a part time nanny and also work as a hairstylist. I love traveling and and trying new things. I love boating, being in the sun, and most importantly, I love dancing. I can’t wait to teach at Anchor Dance Studio!

Celeste Maughan
With over 27 years of experience as a dance educator, Celeste Maughan brings unmatched passion, energy, and joy into every class she teaches. Known for her enthusiasm and deep love for dance, she has inspired dancers of all ages- from toddlers to adults- in styles including tap, ballet, jazz, tumbling, contemporary, and a little hip hop.
For 17 years, she owned and operated her own successful dance studio, creating a nurturing space where dancers could grow both technically and personally. Recently, Celeste returned to her true passion- focusing solely on teaching and mentoring students. Her teaching philosophy centers on building a strong foundation, instilling a lifelong love of dance, and fostering individual success in every dancer she meets. Her energetic teaching style, combined with genuine care for each student’s individual success, creates an atmosphere where dancers feel both challenged and celebrated.
Celeste teaches not only technique, but life skills such as responsibility, accountability, and self awareness. She often reminds her dancers “you are your best teacher.” Her goal is not just to teach dance, but to help her students grow into confident, passionate individuals who carry the lessons they learn in the studio into all aspects of their lives. Her energy is contagious, her dedication unwavering, and her heart firmly rooted in helping dancers shine on and off the stage. She truly believes dance is a gift, and she feels honored to help others discover and embrace it every day.
Outside of the studio, Celeste is a devoted wife and proud mom to four amazing kids, two girls and two boys, who bring balance, joy, and inspiration to her life. Her experience as a mother deeply influences her teaching, helping her connect with each dancer not just as a student, but as a whole person.

Grey Ruff
Grey was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She started dancing at age two, in her mom’s dance studio. She quickly fell in love with dance and competed her first solo at age six and continued to compete solos, duets, trios, and team dances. She was awarded many specialty and overall titles. Grey furthered her training outside the studio and became a part of junior companies and hip hop crews. UDO (Urban Dance Organization) taught her hip hop history, fundamentals, styles, battling, and the central importance of being part of a dance crew. She started teaching tumbling and subbing classes at Just Dance Studio around thirteen and immediately saw the art of teaching. She hasn’t stopped since.
Grey attended and graduated from the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts, where she studied Vaganova ballet, Giordano classical jazz, modern Bartenieff Fundamentals, and grew her passion for dance. She was on the pre-professional dance conservatory team for her last two years of high school. Her junior year, she was granted two college scholarships, AMDA Los Angeles and Dean College Boston.
Grey graduated during the pandemic which placed a pause on everything. She met her husband and moved to Georgia with him, for the Navy. RAD welcomed her with open arms and she spent two years teaching, growing relationships, and sharing her love of dance. Grey is fresh out of military wife service and looking to become a student again to keep her teaching fresh.

London Richards
London has been dancing her whole life and grew up training at studios like Salt Lake Dance Center, and Creative Arts Academy. For the past few years, she danced at Synergy Academy and just wrapped up her season with their High School Company. She spent four years on the Brighton drill team serving as team officer her junior year and dance routine captain her senior year. During her time on the team, she had many opportunities to lead and choreograph, which helped her grow as a dancer, teammate, and teacher. She was on the 2025 5A All-State drill team is know for her leadership and love for performing. She is excited to share her love of dance with her students.
